Join Frisco’s neighborhood geothermal demonstration project for efficient, year‑round comfort.
Notice:
Beginning August 24th, Xcel Energy will be drilling a geothermal test borehole at the Frisco Town Hall parking lot as part of the Frisco Utility Thermal Energy Network (UTEN) demonstration project. Drilling and related activities are expected to last up to September 18th. We will update this page as the schedule changes.
During this work, residents may notice:
• Drilling equipment operating during weekday business hours
• Intermittent construction-related activity
• Periodic equipment noise associated with drilling operations
We expect this activity to have minimal impact on nearby residents and businesses.
