How much will I save?

Customer savings vary based on individual usage patterns, building conditions, and approved rates; therefore, savings cannot be guaranteed. Xcel’s intent is to design and operate the demonstration project to deliver reliable heating and cooling and to minimize customer cost impacts. Any bill protection or cost stability provisions will be described in the participation agreement.
Are there other rebates or incentives I can use alongside the demonstration project?

These systems are being installed free of charge for the customer, so incentives from Xcel Energy and other programs for installed equipment and measures do not apply. However, demonstration project participants are free to pursue other, optional improvements, that may qualify for rebates from other sources, such as HEAR rebates from the Colorado Energy Office.
Can I participate in both the UTEN project and the Mountain Energy Project (MEP)?
Will I continue paying my utility bill to Xcel Energy?

Yes. Xcel Energy will continue to be your utility provider, and you will continue to receive and pay your monthly utility bill as you normally do. If you participate in the pilot, your heating and cooling will be provided through the utility thermal energy network instead of a traditional furnace or air conditioner.
